Website
Interactive Applications:

Interactive Leader Board
Year:
2010
Project Objectives
Augusta National wanted a new innovative design approach for the 2010 Masters Tournament site to enhance the user experience and retain a clear usage of the Masters brand. The Official Site was not only to include the website, but also a variety of interactive applications for use during the Tournament to support the Live Webcast during Masters week.
The Vision
The new website design creates a user experience to make you feel like you are at the Tournament. The usage of large background photos captures the feeling of the Augusta National Golf Club and tells the story of the Tournament as it is happening. Only the most important information was included in the content and this was accomplished by the use of transparent modules at a fixed size, so not to distract from the background photos. Some of the modules are collapsable to help enhance the overall design of the website navigation, content and story telling imagery.
My Role
As Art Director/Lead Creative Designer for IBM interactive, I worked closely with the core design and development team to understand the client’s strategic business, marketing, branding, functional and creative objectives. I applied this knowledge to the design of the new website and applications. I managed the development of the creative solution and application of the brand throughout the course of the development and implementation.
I was responsible for designing and implementing the visual and functional interface design for the website while integrating the newest interactive technologies available. I led a designer in the development of the front-end user interface for the website and related interactive applications. I also helped with the overall Information Architecture for the new site features and related applications. I worked closely with Information Architects, the Technical team and Project Managers to ensure all processes were followed to IBM standard, and that all client requirements were met within the timeline and budget. I collaborate with the team to design innovative features and applications for the 2010 Masters Tournament website.
Responsibility Overview

Manage the implementation and production of all graphics for the website and interactive applications to ensure consistency throughout all mediums while ensuring the development team received all graphics in a timely manner for development and to meet the site launch deadline.
