The design project was a joint effort between scotthillDesign and the Uphill Marketing Group. The client came to us to create and build their logo, full branding and web experience for their new Yacht charter Walk’n on Sunshine. The brand and website needed to capture the feeling of the Caribbean, while providing details for the 48’ Dufour Cervetti Catamaran, available destinations and private Crewed Charter yacht vacation. In addition to the charter rates and availability.

  Branding – Logo – Website Design & Development  

Walk’n on Sunshine is a PRIVATE crewed yacht charter that offers the freedom to visit your choice of picturesque locations in the US and British Virgin Islands. They offer several itineraries that take you to a new destination each day, allowing you to experience the Virgin Islands. The captain and chef will help keep you safe and well fed.

The Vision

The new visual design and brand is evocative, authentic, and clear, and the voice captures Walk’n on Sunshine’s devotion to providing first-class accommodations, fresh and local cuisine, and access to picturesque locations throughout the US and British Virgin Islands.

Branding

My Role

As the Creative Lead, Designer and Information Architect I worked with Uphill Marketing Group and the client to gather requirements and understand the overall vision, objectives and business needs for the new Walk’n on Sunshine brand and online experience. With this information I created a workflow and sitemap and translated that into a user experience strategy and framework for the new website. I utilized the brands color palette and created a solid grid system to design layouts to communicate the relation between the Yacht and services they offer to their clients. Combined with photography of Walk’n on Sunshine and different locations around the Caribbean islands.

The website experience was accomplished through the use of creative solutions, strategic planning and execution of the business requirements and objectives within the design and development of the Walk’n on Sunshine website and new brand.

Our final creative design solutions for the Walk’n on Sunshine brand and website creates a cohesive identity for the Yacht and website that stands out as a great option for travelers looking for a private Yacht charter in the Caribbean. We successfully accomplish all aspects of the Identity and Brand for Walk’n on Sunshine which has created a engaging user experience for the website’s users. The end result is a unified brand experience and web presence that is smart, approachable, and attractive to potential travelers.

Project Objectives

Time Freedom Trading (TFT) needed a new modern website design to promote their investment trading system and online course. The goal of the course is to make you financially savvy and independent with the proper mindset, process, and skills to earn time freedom on your own. The website required detailed overview of the TFT investment opportunities, what to expect from the course and access to enroll in the course straight from the website. The course signup page contains sensitive information related to the TFT system and required a password protected feature to access the complete course overview and curriculum.

Time Freedom Trading’s system empowers main street with wall street knowledge and tools to compound wealth and earn time freedom through proven trading and investing strategies.

The Vision

We utilized the existing brand and identity guidelines to create a consistent design throughout the website and ensure it represents Time Freedom Trading’s extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of the stock market, investing and trading strategies. We also incorporated the TFT website mascot, Gordon the Gecko throughout all pages of the website to bring a little fun and whimsy to the text heavy page designs.

My Role

As the Creative Lead, Designer and Information Architect I worked with the client to gather requirements and understand the overall vision, objectives and business goals for the Time Freedom Trading online experience. I applied the TFT branding guidelines, created the overall website structure, content flow, page layouts and design by utilizing the latest interactive technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and WordPress Shortcodes to create a user-centered design focused on the key points offered by the Time Freedom Trading System. I ensured the online experience and course related materials have a cohesive and consistent look and feel to represent the Time Freedom Trading brand.

The TFT website required a lot of text information relevant to their course, investment opportunities and empowering yourself with a complete system to compound wealth for life. I ensured there is a balance in design elements including photos, graphics, branding elements and white space so all the designs and information is clear and easy for users to understand the purpose of the TFT course and the benefits from enrolling.

The TFT Course

The TFT Master Class is an eight-week course focusing on the fundamental elements of the U.S. stock market to give you a solid understanding of the market indexes, sectors and industries, as wells criteria for building yearly trading and investing portfolios suitable for trading and investing in long term holding. The course gives you the opportunity to learn through practice and paper trading in every class.

The TFT course covers 20+ years of intellectual property covering investing and trading experience. So it required private access to the detailed course overview and full course curriculum. We accomplished this by creating a secure password protected login to enter the overview and course details. This is only accessible after enrolling and completing the registration process.

FAQ + Legal

The TFT seminar series is a “live” four session webinar where you learn a complete trading and investing system that can deliver consistent and profitable results. Investing involves risk which may include the loss of principal. So Time Freedom Trading needed a variety of Legal disclaimers to ensure they are not held liable for financial loss and future results of your investments.

There are always questions when investing your own money. We included a FAQ section to help with those questions related to the TFT Trading System, costs and what you will learn.

TFT Shop

The TFT seminar and courses are not a publicly advertised classes. So how does the public find out about the TFT Trading System? Maybe someone you know took the courses and thought it was worth while and recommended it to you. TFT was looking for other options on how to help promote the TFT System and courses without investing in a lot of marketing and advertising. They decided to create a shop to promote the TFT Trading System with a variety of merchandise displaying the TFT logo, brand and also options with the mascot, Gordon The Gecko. This will help spread the word about Time Freedom Trading from those who have taken the course and know how it works.

The TFT Shop has merchandise for everyone in your family. From Mens and Women’s gear, to baby’s, boy and girls. In addition they have a variety of other items sporting the TFT Brand and mascot including hats, hoodies, holiday and household items.

Marketing

Time Freedom Trading uses a variety of items in their course and curriculum materials. They wanted a bold and eye-catching graphic for use in their “With Time Freedom” (WTF) Report that covers the current state of the market and investing opportunities. The vision was to create a 3D graphic similar to news media outlets opening graphics. TFT plans to animate the graphics as an intro and background for the WTF Report in class sessions.

We successfully designed the new online experience for Time Freedom Trading utilizing the TFT Brand guidelines, design elements and page layouts to clearly demonstrate the purpose and possible results from taking the Time Freedom Trading Courses. The overall experience of the website symbolizes Time Freedom Trading’s approach to trading and investing in the stock market. We implemented clear interactions with clean design elements, bold graphics and custom photography, which aligns with the quality of courses provided by Time Freedom Trading. The end result is a unified brand experience and web presence that is smart, approachable, and attractive to TFT potential students.

Project Objectives

Spectrum Consulting required a complete re-design of their company website. We needed to utilize the existing brand and color palette to create a website that displays Spectrum Consultings’ extensive knowledge and experience in construction management. Including a variety of services covering construction planning and scheduling, cost and resource loading, forensic analysis and stakeholders’ contract considerations pertaining to schedule management.

The Vision

This was accomplished with the successful implementation of the brand and website information architecture by displaying Spectrum Consultings’ extensive experience using industry specific Tools & Tradecraft Mastery, Tailored Solutions and a portfolio of sample works.

My Role

I worked closely with Spectrum Consulting’s owner to understand their business objectives, brainstorm ideas and help document the best possible solution for the Spectrum Consulting new website. As the Creative Lead and Developer I utilized the provided content to create the website structure, content flow, page layouts and designs by applying the latest interactive technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and WordPress Shortcodes. This created a user-centered design focused on the key services and capabilities offered by Spectrum Consulting. It was essential to ensure the correct color palette was applied correctly to all pages and designs so the Spectrum brand was correctly displayed throughout the new website and marketing materials. The visual treatment of each page header and page content had to be designed to clearly document the services, tools, tradecraft mastery and unique tailored solutions offered by Spectrum Consulting.

My attention to detail ensured everything was clear and precise for prospective clients. I provided the best quality work on all areas of the project, which allowed me to create high quality work products and deliverables which resulted in the successful design and implementation of the Spectrum Consulting brand and website.

Projects

It was imperative that we highlight the Spectrum Consulting’s service excellence and tradecraft mastery with examples of their work. We created a Projects section that demonstrates Spectrum’s ability to provide Service Excellence and Tailored Solutions within their specific construction industry. This was done by utilizing photography to represent each industry category they provide their clients. Along with specific project details of the work completed, details of the services provided, location and photo samples of the final solution.

  Spectrum Consulting’s Project Industry Categories 

These Categories include construction for, Multifamily, Hospitality, Senior Living, Office, Medical, K12/Higher Education, Automotive, Aviation and Civil/Transportation.

Resources

Spectrum Consulting also needed a Resources section to provide share resource aids with their trusted users and contacts. These resources include Videos, PDF Aids and Articles related to the construction industry. Each category is organized by specific project role as it relates to the construction industry. The PDF Aids have sensitive information that required and secure login to be able to access and download each PDF file. This was done by creating a function that sends a request to be verified and provide a password to access and download the related documentation.

We utilized the existing Spectrum Consulting brand to create a modern and interactive website that clearly communicates their industry specific skills and services with end results that are bold and engaging. We defined the site architecture, produced a visual sitemap and translated all into a visual design that is functional and appealing for the Spectrum Consulting clients and end users. The new website successfully communicates their commitment to service excellence, with an easy-to-navigate design that is interactive and engaging while creating a thoughtful online experience.

Project Objectives

Neale Lundgren PhD needed a complete website redesign to help promote his new book and provided updated content for his current and prospective clients. We needed to refine Neale’s brand, color palette and design to implement a website built with the latest technology to ensure it is up-to-date with the current styles and trends in design. The website required clear presentation of the new book with links to purchase from various online sellers. In addition to other content related to his other writings, music and mentoring opportunities.

Brand Update – Website Re-Design – Development Solutions

Neale Lundgren PhD, is a therapist, a former Benedictine monk, a poet, and a musician. He has taught at St. John’s University, Emory University, and Pacifica Graduate Institute. As a teacher, he uses the conversation of presence, reflective reading, meditation, and transformational energy work to help put students in touch with their soul and the sacred in the midst of the world.

The Vision

For the website redesign we needed to consolidate the decades of content Neale has created over the years into a user friendly and easily accessible design. The two main categories of content are organized under the sections for READ and LISTEN. As Neale has written many articles, books, papers and thesis we created an interactive interface to display and link to his many writings. We also created a section to highlight Neale’s different podcasts and lectures into a design that is clear and easily accessible for the website users.

Neale also has decades of music recorded from the 1960’s through 2004. We created a page to highlight his music ranging from Alternative Folk, World Fusion, Contemporary Folk, Folk Rock, Jazz, and Pop music. The page clearly displays a variety of CDs and recorded music with an interface that allows users to sample and download songs from different CDs. We also created links to purchase songs from Apple Music and the online iTunes Store.

Branding

In essence, Neale is an artist, fascinated with seeing the divine in all things. Throughout his life, he has been compelled to document the path of the soul through time. It is through time and our journey upon earth that we experience the lessons that ultimately lead us to higher realms of love and awareness.

My Role

I worked with Neale to understand his vision, the overall objectives and business needs to finalize the website content and create the overall information architecture for the new design. As the Information Architect, Creative Designer and Developer I created the navigational flow of the information and overall organization of the functional structure. I utilized different elements from Neale’s new book cover design, elements from his writings and related photography to create a clean and minimal design. By using the new color palette from his branding in combination with simple graphics and photos I was able to clearly communicate Neale’s services, collateral and knowledge as a mentor to create a successful website design.

By using the latest technology and design skills I implemented Neale’s vision into a functional and interactive website to help promote his new book and organize his years of content and writings. We accomplished this with Neale’s website with custom photography used to create custom designed art and samples of his extensive collection of history, writings, music, art and Psycho-Spiritual Approach to Mentoring.

As the overall project Lead, Designer and Developer I managed the design and development of all graphics for the website and branding solutions to ensure consistency throughout. I organized the project budgets, deadlines, etc. to make sure they are complete, accurate and follow the project plan and objectives. We successfully integrated the digital brand for Neale’s website and focused on creating the best experience possible for the target audience.

Project Objectives

Writer and author ML Childs needed a new website design to promote her books (The Vital Sacrifice & The Missing Link), and to help promote her services as an author, copywriter, screenwriter, blogger, and historian. This was accomplished with the design and development of a new clean and modern website with a thoughtful design and user experience. The website required new and updated content that’s clear and easy to explore. We also needed to highlight M.L. Childs multiple writing services and knowledge as a historical writer.

The Vision

Creating a successful design is about communicating the services and products offered while providing a compelling user experience, not just providing an aesthetically attractive site. This was accomplished with the successful implementation of the website content by creating a site navigation that highlights M.L. Childs extensive knowledge and skills of writing books, blogging, copywriting, screenwriting, and education in history research.

The design and user experience of the new website was created with the use of a basic grid system and clean page designs applied with a minimal color palette to highlight the site content and not be distracting to users. The design and user experience symbolizes M.L. Childs approach to writing content for various clients for use on blog articles, and copy for websites and social media.

M.L. Childs Latest Books

Marketing ads for each book were designed for use on the website and other online areas including social media and various websites. The ads were designed to promote M.L. Childs books throughout the year at specific target dates. Ads were designed in a variety of sizes to help promote the two books. I ensured all marketing materials have a cohesive and consistent look and voice to represent each book.

I created a solution with the design and development of effective navigation, information and graphics through sound design principles, strategic planning and execution of the business requirements and objectives.

As the Information Architect, Designer and Developer I created the navigational flow of the information and overall organization of the website structure. Designed and coded the page layouts and designs with HTML, CSS and WordPress Shortcodes. While creating a visual interesting design that is easy to use and provides clients with a complete overview of M.L. Childs skills and body of work.

Custom graphics were designed and created to highlight different features and enhance the overall website design. Then use of these custom designs in combination with the clean pages designs help to enhance the overall site experience.

I also redesigned the logo for Latrodectus Entertainment, LLC, the parent company and publisher for her books and tv/movie scripts. The logo was designed based on the existing logo. The overall design was simplified so the company name and design was clear and readable.

We successfully designed and created a new online presence for M.L. Childs that clearly communicates her commitment to the client experience, with easy-to-navigate actions, informative content that does not overwhelm the reader. We also utilized photography and custom graphics with aesthetic benefit and storytelling of her extensive experience and services as an author, copywriter, screenwriter, blogger, and historian. I ensured a cohesive look and consistent graphic style was implemented across all designs.

The Grant Academy is a private school that specializes in the education of elementary age students with learning and cognitive disabilities, ADHD, ADD, Asperger’s autism, and other disabilities. The Grant Academy came to us to create and build a full branding and web experience that captured their unique approach to optimize learning for all types of students. The new visual design and brand must help them to stand out from other private S.T.E.M. schools into a league of their own, while communicating the benefits and affordability of their style of education and learning.

Collateral & Photography

The Grant Academy required visual identity collateral for their teachers and for general use within the school. The brand collateral needs to do be much more than just be pretty, it must communicate their services and create a positive message to the parents of potential students. The design must convey their message in a clear and distinguishable way across all collateral. The media used to support the message should have consistent color, style, and visual assets across all channels and further The Grant Academy’s mission. We also designed the school signage and a marketing brochure to clearly communicate The Grant Academy’s purpose and abilities as a Private Elementary S.T.E.M. School that can be trusted with their students education. The new brand image was also applied to cups and pens for use at the school.

We incorporated custom photography of the school classroom environment and building architecture, paired with stock photos for use in the website design and marketing collateral. The final results enhance The Grant Academy Brand message for aesthetic benefit and storytelling.

The Vision

We helped to better connect patients to Source Health Center by creating a new website with helpful resources, important facts, and a patient portal with a clean functional design and user interface. The new design guide’s Dr McCall’s patients on how to keep their body on its path to healing by providing the structural and nutritional support it needs to adapt.

We designed and created custom graphics throughout the new website to help patients better understand Dr. McCall’s processes and approach to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal.

Cake Envy required an updated branding and new modern website to represent the company and provide detailed information for their unique services and history. The owner and cake designer Natalie loves anything creative and has painted, created different types of art and cloths. Natalie decided to use her skills and love for creativity to create custom and unique cake and desert designs. The new website needed to reflect her love of creativity with a unique custom design that is easy to use, yet still functional and provides her customers with details on her process, prices and examples of her extensive knowledge on custom cake and desert design. In addition the overall user experience must provide customers with detailed information on the endless options available including flavors, frosting types, fillings, custom designs and pricing options provided by Cake Envy.

Cake Envy specializes in high-end wedding & groom cakes, special event cakes, and desserts! Because the details matter!

The Vision

Our goal with Cake Envy was to make their brand and user experience more interactive and engaging for their users. We updated the logo and color palette to a more modern style, then designed a new website focused on the unique custom cakes and deserts created by Cake Envy. All based on sound design principles and built on the latest web development technologies.

Great events don’t just happen… they are strategically planned and orchestrated! Now, more than ever before, a cake is the showpiece of any event! It’s the centerpiece of the entire room.

My Role

As the Creative Lead and Information Architect I worked with the client to gather information and understand the overall vision, objectives and business needs for the new Cake Envy website. I utilized strong imagery of Cake Envy’s custom designed cakes and deserts, combined with custom designed icons and clean clear page designs and layouts to communicate the relation between the Cake Envy key services and experiences they offer to their clients. The final solution was accomplished through the use of creative solutions, strategic planning and execution of the business requirements and objectives within the design and development of the Cake Envy website.

It was highly important that all photos of the custom and unique designs created by Cake Envy are clear and crisp to represent the high quality products they create for their clients. To ensure this all photos were processed, color corrected and touched up when needed, to ensure all the details of the creative designs came through to prospective clients.

The digital brand identity for Neale reflects his accomplishments and thoughts on life through his writings, music and teachings where we experience the lessons that ultimately lead us to higher realms of love and awareness. Neale is an artist with great wisdom from a spiritual and mystical view on life and the lessons we can learn from our experiences.

Neale Lundgren Ph.D. is a musician, songwriter, poet, novelist, therapist, and ex-Benedictine monk. He is an expert with both words in poetry or notes in music and helps us all explore the joys of sound. He started out as a rock musician, but left that world to enter the monastery where he fell in love with mystical poetry. In addition to a vibrant career as a psychotherapist and novelist, Neale writes music to bring mystical poetry to life.

The Vision

Since Neale has decades of content under each of his specialties we needed a compelling and innovative design for the website information flow and content layout. We created consistency in the interface for the user by creating a standard layout for the key specialty pages. This helped to streamline our design and development of other site pages. The users’ experience is the focus because a well designed and organized website solves its users’ problems and answers its users’ questions.

Knowles Learning Specialists (KLS) required a complete identity and branding including creation of the company logo and website. The KLS digital branding and design needed to represent their knowledge and experience with special needs education and skills to teach children who learn differently and struggle daily with academics. The KLS process and resources to achieve these goals must be documented clearly so the parents will be comfortable and can rely on Knowles Learning Specialists to teach and mentor their children no matter what their learning disabilities may be.

The mission of Knowles Learning Specialists is to build bridges enabling students who learn differently to incorporate new skills that lead to success as they continue their education.

The Vision

We developed the brand strategy for Knowles Learning Specialists by identifying the core components of their business that was used as a blueprint to develop the design and marketing strategy. We identified their purpose in teaching students new skills that lead to success, a consistent color palette and style, and a logo with emotional impact that helps customers connect with the KLS Brand.

Branding

Knowles Learning Specialists utilizes many different materials and resources including Orton-Gillingham methodology, Handwriting Without Tears, and numerous other materials that help in the remediation of learning disabilities.

I worked closely with the client to understand their business objectives, brainstorm ideas and help document the best possible solution for the Knowles Learning Specialists branding and website. As the Creative Lead and Information Architect I created the website structure, content flow, page layouts and design by utilizing the latest interactive technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and WordPress Shortcodes to create a user-centered design focused on the key services offered by Knowles Learning Specialists. I provided the client with all final print documents and logos in various formats for use in marketing the KLS brand and business. My attention to detail helped to ensure the best quality work on all areas of the project and allowed me to create high quality work products and deliverables which resulted in the successful design and implementation of the Knowles Learning Specialists brand and website.

It was essential that we highlight the KLS approach and services in the new website design. This was accomplished by designing a custom interactive layout for the Services page, while making it clear and user friendly. With the combination of photography and interesting text treatments we designed and created custom graphics and custom HTML & CSS to display the KLS Services.

We created a brand system that captured the Knowles Learning Specialists approach to teaching and the end results is bold and engaging. We defined the site architecture, produced a visual sitemap and translated all into a visual design based on the principles of design that is functional and appealing for the KLS users. The new brand and website honors their commitment to the teaching, with an easy-to-navigate design that is more interactive and engaging while creating a thoughtful online experience.
