Project Objectives

Data Fusion required a complete identity and branding for their IT Solutions Company with the creation of the overall color palette, logo and identity collateral. We needed to create a brand experience that communicated their strong ties to the IT industry while conveying their message of a reliable and professional IT Solutions provider for small and large corporate companies.

Data Fusion provides specialized consulting services for unique IT needs and Solutions. They are a solutions provider for reselling hardware, software and business solutions for all types of businesses. Data Fusion holds contracts, wins new deals, manages project plans, budgeting, resources and is a licensed hardware and software products solutions reseller.

 

The Vision

The vision for the Data Fusion brand design was to create a color palette that symbolizes a message of trust, confidence, reliability and growth, while creating a design to represent their unique IT Solutions and services. We played with the idea of Fusion or Data Fusion, the process of integrating multiple data sources to produce more consistent, accurate, and useful information than that provided by any individual data source. The challenge was to create a brand and logo mark to represent the fusion of services they provide from overall IT solutions.

Your Brand is the mental picture of who you as a company represents to consumers, it’s influenced by the elements, words, and creativity that surround it. Your Brand serves as a guide to understanding the purpose of the business objectives. It enables you to align a marketing plan with those objectives and fulfill the overarching strategy. Without a brand, the business doesn’t have an identified purpose, without a purpose how can you stand out from among your competition?

Branding

We worked with the Data Fusion team to understand their business goals and unique services and solutions they provide and how to apply this to the new company brand. The essential thing in branding is clarity of what is being offered, whether it is a product, service or person. Our solution was to create a logo mark to embody the fusion of the services and solutions Data Fusion provides for their customers. The arrows act as the arms of the business solutions gathering the information and resources to accomplish the key objectives and goals for your business or clients. The typography is clean, clear and easily readable at a variety of sizes.

 

The color palette and type treatment symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and truth with the blues. The subtle use of green, the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, safety, money, finances, banking and ambition. The color palette and logo mark creates a positive message and image for the consumer.

 

 

My Role

I worked with the client to understand the overall objectives and business needs for the branding and identity design. We brainstormed ideas and I applied this information to the design of the brand which is carried throughout the logo and identity collateral. As the Creative Lead and Designer I developed the branding guidelines, color palette, type treatments and created all designs. I ensured all design collateral and marketing materials have a cohesive and consistent look and voice to represent the Data Fusion corporate image.

Through the use of sound design principles, strategic planning and execution of the business requirements and objectives we successfully designed and created the Data Fusion brand and identity collateral which resulted in a satisfied client.

We successfully designed and created the new Brand and Identity for Data Fusion and ensured a cohesive look and consistent graphic style was created that describes the visual devices used to represent the company and their unique services.
