Project Objectives

Green Earth Developers (GED) came to us to create and build a full branding and identity solution for their solar project development services company that provides designs, finances and constructs solar power projects for their customers. GED serves solar energy, commercial, and utility customers throughout North America and the Caribbean. We needed to create a brand experience that communicated their strong ties to the Construction and Engineering industries while not feeling to corporate, cold or overly complicated and without sacrificing quality.

The Vision

The vision for the new GED branding and identity was to design a solution that connects the consumer to GED with a friendly and approachable aesthetic design. We decided to utilize a color palette that symbolizes nature with use of a variety of green tones. The color green, the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, and the environment. We combined colors of green with graphical shapes that represent the earth and nature to correspond with GED’s services as a provider of renewable energy solutions.

A brand is the combination of properties within and outside a company which gives an identity to the generic product or services it represents. Your brand has it’s own unique characteristics like name, logo, image, perception, etc, and that is what makes the brand identifiable and differentiable from others in the market.


We began our brand strategy meeting with the GED team to understand their business and the key characteristics that make up the services they provide. To create a brand that fully represents GED we applied this information to the design of the company logo and identity collateral with the use of a strong and consistent brand attributes. We created a solution that embodies the GED services and core values the company as a whole strives to achieve. These branding attributes give GED a certain personality and voice that helps to position their key services in the consumers’ mind, and give them the same experience whenever they have a contact with the brand.



My Role

As the Creative Lead and Designer I developed the branding guidelines, color palette, type treatments, logo and designed all identity collateral. When designing a new brand identity it’s essential you create a consistent style across your collateral that allows customers to instantly recognize the company and distinguish it from others. By working with the client to understand the overall objectives and business needs I ensured the GED brand identity supports the sales and marketing of their product and services, while keeping aligned with the brands core values.


The new brand experience captures GED’s essence as providers of renewable energy solutions with a clean, bold and modern design.
Through the use of sound design principles, strategic planning and execution of the business requirements and objectives we successfully designed and created the Green Earth Developers brand system which resulted in a satisfied client.
